Strong Performance at Martinsville Speedway Sees Wiley X Drivers Finish in Top 3 Positions, Denny Hamlin Takes 1st Place, Within 6 Points of the Lead in the Chase for the Sprint Cup
Members of the Wiley X® team of NASCAR drivers are recognized worldwide for their individual performances — as top competitors on the track and high-profile spokesmen for the leading name in premium protective eyewear. So far, the 2010 racing season has exceeded expectations for Wiley X’s impressive roster of drivers, with Denny Hamlin (No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota) holding 2nd place in the chase for the Sprint Cup, only a mere 6 points away from the lead, and Kevin Harvick® (No. 29 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet) right behind him in 3rd. Carl Edwards (No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing Ford) is currently 6th in the Sprint Cup chase, with Matt Kenseth (No. 17 Roush Fenway Racing Ford) 10th and Greg Biffle
(No. 16 Roush Fenway Racing Ford) 11th in the standings. All told, Wiley X currently has five drivers currently in the top 12.
Wiley X’s roster of drivers dominated the recent “Tums Fast Relief 500” at Martinsville Speedway, turning in a “Trifecta” 1-2-3 finish. Denny Hamlin finished 1st, making it his third consecutive Martinsville win, followed (literally) by Mark Martin in 2nd driving his No. 5 Hendricks Motorsports Chevrolet, and Harvick® speeding across the finish line in 3rd.
Joey Logano (No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota) finished in 6th, moving him up to the 17th
position in the Cup standings while Edwards finished 8th — rounding out an impressive five Wiley X drivers in the top 10 at Martinsville. Plus, Wiley X Driver Ron Hornady powered his
No. 33 Chevrolet to the checkered flag to win his first Camping World Truck Series race
