March 30th was National Pencil Day. Hymen Lipman received the first patent for attaching an eraser to the end of a pencil on this day in 1858. Did you know that Pencil the name is derived from Latin penicillus, which is a form of peniculus, meaning “brush,” If that looks familiar is it, because that word is a diminutive form of penis.
Most likely we have all used pencils which by the way do not use lead but graphite. Believe it or not, there are a few companies that have incorporated pencils into their eyewear.
Henrik Vibskov and Gentle Monster for Spring Summer 2016 used a pencil temple for the runway.

Sneaking Duck’s 3D eyeglasses utilized a pencil temple. The eyewear is made from a nylon material and you can put an RX in the frames. I would not hug or kiss the person wearing this, while cool, a little poke in the eye is not fun.
