This special edition eyewear collaboration from women’s wear designer Wes Gordon and Silhouette debuted at New York fashion week in September of 2015. Designed to amplify a woman’s personal style and sense of confidence, these ultra-light frames do not mask the wearer, but rather serve as a stylish adornment. Gordon’s signature aesthetic along with Silhouette’s technically advanced rimless design seemed like a natural fit, and resulted in a beautifully retro, yet fashion forward piece of eyewear.
“My mission is to provide women with effortless sophistication,” says Gordon. “My collection for Silhouette is designed for confident women who communicate their style with subtle grace and without pretense, who are both feminine and mysterious.”
Available in one circular style based on the Silhouette Icon Titan Minimal Art and 4 captivating colors – Nude Brown, Classic Grey, Classic Green and, Gordon’s favorite hue, Ocean Blue – this versatile piece can be worn for both special occasions and every day, and can also be worn by sartorially savy men. Another important feature to note is the craftsmanship – each lens is meticulously crafted from a single piece of glass that is hand-sanded around the perimeter, then needle-painted with a contrast color – a new technique that Silhouette is debuting with this collection.
Available in select optical retailers and fashion stores worldwide in January 2016.
