Meet the 3×3 bloggers, Alyssa, Luci, and Grace. The trio recently ventured down to Charleston, South Carolina to explore all that the city has to offer. Sunglass Warehouse sunnies in hand, they set out to find the best food, the best attractions, and, of course, when you have cute shades, the best views. Check out how Alyssa, Luci, and Grace all styled their sunglasses and read on for their favorite adventures in Charleston!

History: I’ve always been fascinated with historical facts and such, so visiting a city that was rich with history was very exciting. Everything from the stories to the food, to the architecture and to the sites was rich with history. One of my favorite things was taking a haunted tour of the old jail. The history was abundant!
Plantations: I could spend a whole week exploring just the plantations in Charleston. With gorgeous old homes, rolling fields, tranquil ponds, beautiful gardens, and Spanish moss gently draping from the trees, plantations are an easy place to get lost in. It doesn’t hurt, either, that many of the properties were used for filming various aspects of The Notebook. My only question — when can I move in?!
Food: Last, but certainly not least, the food was beyond delicious. I enjoyed indulging in local favorites like coconut cake, fried green tomatoes, Huguenot tort, and, of course, plenty of fluffy biscuits. Some of my favorite spots included FIG and Zero George Café & Bar.

Food and drink: I’ve long associated the South with fried food (which isn’t really my thing), and while everyone paid homage to flavors and preparations of the culture, there was also a fun twist with local ingredients, fresh flavors, and new renditions of old classics. I found myself conflicted with so many delicious things to order. Thank goodness we all wanted to share plates!
Walkable city: I loved how easy it was to get around. Once you’re in the downtown area, you can walk pretty much anywhere. If you’re tired, the trolley system or bicycle cabs are there to help, but we never really felt the need. It was so great to work off all the yummy food!
Local love: Everyone in Charleston, native or transplant, loved their city and boasted all it had to offer. We even started planning our next trip as if our return was already booked!

Food: Charleston has so many restaurants to choose from and there is literally a restaurant or coffee shop at every corner! One of my favorite dinner spots was FIG — fantastic food, great staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. There were so many coffee shops to choose from! I would have to say that the Stella from Christophe Chocolatier was to die for.
Charm: Everything in Charleston was photogenic, from the bridges and streets to the private gardens and unique gates. It’s a photographer’s paradise! It was difficult to ever turn off the camera.
Charleston vibes: Whether you’re a beach bum or you prefer high class dining and shopping, Charleston has it all. Downtown is chic, and the streets are fully lined with every shop you could imagine. Just a few minutes away from Downtown, you can visit the beach for a totally different vibe. I loved both equally!
Thank you to Alyssa, Luci, and Grace for sharing their favorite Charleston adventures with us!
