This week we feature thick-rimmed Raen sunglasses in one of the most popular hues of the season – blush pink. The large size flatters all face shapes and provides a subtle romantic touch to print outfits and solidifies an outfit with color block items. For this week’s outfit we have gone with the latter combination, accessorizing a true blue look with semi-transparent Raen sunglasses.
The Core Outfit
True blue is definitely having a moment, as celebrities appear at various events clad head-to-toe in the vibrant color. To make this outfit appropriate for wearing to work and transforming into a night-out look, we chose a Diane Von Furstenberg pencil skirt (make sure it’s not too tight, it should NOT wrap too snug around the legs) and paired it with a McQ by Alexander McQueen double-breasted cropped blazer. The pleated details at the back highlight the waist with slimming benefits. The mixed material t-shirt should be worn tucked in to fully utilize the slimming effect of the pencil skirt.
When you wear this look with the jacket on you have a work appropriate “suit”; with the jacket off you have a sexy, fashion-forward look to head to a lounge with friends.
The Accessories
The semi-transparent Raen sunglasses pull the whole look together with its funky design – rounded with thick temples and in the season’s favorite tone. Ready to grab a pair to spice up your fall wardrobe?
We also continue the color block theme throughout the outfit and fell in love with this roll handle bag from Limi Feu. In comparison to an extremely large, horizontal clutch, this paper bag style white leather bag is an amazing alternative and provides some relief to your forearms (much more “ergonomic” compared to a clutch with no “handle”).
The Kate Spade color block heels mix neon with the black/white canvas – we love the splash of color to the overall look. True blue and yellow work well together to provide color contrast.
The Makeup
Glitter has made a come back. How do you wear glitter so you don’t look like you’re going to a late-night party? The tip is to use glitter as highlights either at the front of your eyes or at the end of your lash line – properly used as an accent this addition adds some glam to your makeup.
