History of Upside Down Eyeglasses

The concept of one pair of glasses that have 2 sets of lenses and the option of turning them upside down for sunglasses is not new. We did some searching on the upside down eyewear concept and this is what we came up with.

In the 1950’s, noted eyewear designer  Paulette Guinet developed this bejeweled reader on Ebay for $8000

1974- Zeiss Introduces the Upside Down sunglasses. These only have the choice to be worn one way although, not like the reader version,

2012 –  Giulio Iacchetti’s  sunglass-reader- 4 eyed design to given the option to wear in sun or clear.
