Now in its 70th year, this year’s Golden Globes proved once again to be a raucous and humor-filled evening with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler at the helm.
There were a number of stunning looks at this year’s Golden Globes with actresses wearing bright red, daring black and a range of colors from pale champagne shades to bright florals. Some of our favorite glasses wearers put in their contact lenses for the night out at the Golden Globes to allow their gowns and jewels to stand out.
Jennifer Garner supported husband, and multiple winner for Argo, Ben Affleck in deep red Vivienne Westwood Couture. Off the red carpet, Jennifer is often seen sporting fashionable glasses with her daughters, Seraphina and Violet who have also been noticed for their eyewear style.
Megan Fox, a presenter at this year’s Golden Globes, shows that she can pull off contact lenses or glasses with equal aplomb, selecting Dolce & Gabbana for the night. Risk-taker, Nicole Kidman, stunned in Alexander McQueen with a peek-a-boo transparent midriff and studded neckline. Off the carpet, Nicole has often been photographed in equally current and stylish glasses.
Tina Fey, and iconic glasses wearer, often switches up her look by wearing contact lenses when on the red carpet. At the Golden Globes she wowed in black and white L’Wren Scott on the red carpet and form fitting sequined dress during the ceremony while keeping the audience entertained.
Best Actress winner, Jennifer Lawrence, has become a modern style icon, and didn’t disappoint in vibrant Dior Haute Couture. Known for her relaxed attitude, Jennifer has been spotted off-screen wearing bold rectangular glasses. While at the 70th Annual Golden Globes Emily Blunt seems to have selected contact lenses to pair with her Michael Kors, she occasionally mixes it up wearing glasses at previous awards ceremonies.
