The Golden Globe Awards is probably one of the highest honours that can be bestowed upon the individuals who have graced our screens the past year. The bygone 2015 might be seen as the epoch of cinematic brilliance where we had path breaking films like Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant and Todd Haynes’ Carol, as well as some genre defining films and television series like Inside Out, The Martian and Mad Men. We naturally had high expectations from the winners and they have delivered the same.
The winners of the Golden Globe Awards 2016 seem to be perfectionists who settle for nothing but the best, whether it’s chilling with friends or on a mission to save the planet. It would be a blasphemy if their style standards didn’t match up to their ambitious lives as they continue to inspire us to champion eyewear as a powerful accessory in itself!
Leonardo DiCaprio (Best Actor)
Had a chance to sit down with Sunita Narain, Director of the Centre for Science and Environment, in New Delhi to discuss the effects of climate change and the forthcoming global commitments for #COP21. #GlobalGoals
Leonardo DiCaprio might have fought and won over a bear not once but twice in his definitive win as The Best Actor in a Motion Picture and possible ticket to an Oscar win. (We hope so!) The superstar who managed to raise 40 million for the cause of species preservation seems to have anticipated being photographed here with Sunita Narain, the Director of the Centre for Science and Environment in exotic India, with these Persol PO649 shades and it definitely works! We can’t take our eyes off brooding Leo. Persol have been a long time luxurious yet classic choice for men over the decades, including a favourite of actor Steve McQueen. Whilst they’re not a flashy brand, they know how important it is to look stylish while protecting your eyes.
Lady Gaga (Best Performance by an Actress in Television)
On deadline as Guest Editor for @vmagazine Photographers, writers, stylists, hair, makeup, models, and artists…Were going to print! A photo posted by The Countess (@ladygaga) on Dec 9, 2015 at 12:25pm PST
Lady Gaga has always been one for breaking the stereotypes. While she can make us dance to our tunes, did you know she donned the hat of guest editor for the V magazine? The Golden Globe winner of Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television not only killed it on the red carpet but also off it where she showed us how to rock those nerdy frames like it was the next fashion sensation.
These Ray-Ban RX5322 glasses allows us to take a lesson out of Lady Gaga’s style of sass, even on a casual day.
Jon Hamm (Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series)
#minions #jonhamm
Not only did Jon Hamm play an animated character convincingly in our favourite movie franchise of all time in 2015 but also started the new year on a sparkling note by bagging the Golden Globe award for the Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series Drama. We can’t stop admiring how he reflects the craze around him in the innocuous reflecting sunglasses! Whenever the world gets too much for you and a little fresh air is what you desire, go for on a fun ride with this Ray-Ban RB3136 Aviator sunglasses.
Taraji Henson (Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series)

Taraji Henson has always been the picture of quiet elegance and it didn’t come as a surprise when she won the Golden Globe for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series Drama, a few steps ahead of favourites like Robin Wright and Viola Davis. With these shades who can blame the judges?
If aggressively fierce is your style inspiration, you can go back to these Juicy Couture JU 563/S sunglasses again and again for that modern Queen look.
Brie Larson (Best Actress)
I got babes for friends. #wcw @behatiprinsloo @getsavvy @amypoehlersmartgirls HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY
Brie Larson has surely won her way into the hearts of the audience and judges by winning the Best Performance of an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards. But our girl seems to be quite the party animal with the pink bikini and matching shades.
Perfect for a day out with your girls, these Carrera CARRERA 69 sunglasses are every girl’s must have on a day cruise!
