Olympic Telecast TV Spot Gives Viewers a Peek at “Modes” of Transitions® Signature™ Lenses
ORLANDO, Fla., Jan., 2014 – Transitions Optical is planning a marketing presence of Olympian proportions in 2014. With TV spots set to run during the Olympics Opening Ceremony Friday, Feb. 7 as well as during daytime, primetime and weekend coverage, U.S. telecast viewers will get a peek at the many “Modes” of Transitions® Signature™ lenses.
“Our presence during the 2014 Olympics telecast begins with the Opening Ceremony, one of the more heavily watched periods,” said Sherianne James, director, North America marketing. “While running the TV spot during the Olympics is a significant and exciting part of our 2014 marketing program, it is just one part of our larger integrated campaign across multiple media.”
Other aspects of the 2014 media lineup include:
- A national TV media buy, featuring the new “Modes” spot highlighting Transitions Signature lenses, on highly watched cable networks like HGTV and Food Network, along with early morning news programs like the TODAY Show and Good Morning America.
- A prominent run on the Geoffrey Tron – the only bi-directional screen in Times Square – capturing the attention of millions of consumers along 44th and Broadway in New York City.
- A national print campaign buy that includes nine national publications and will feature the Transitions brand as well as Transitions Signature lenses with a specific product ad in magazines such as Food Network Magazine, National Geographic, Popular Science and Southern Living. The print rotation begins in March with a Transitions Signature lenses ad.
- Online advertising, shown before and during streaming videos, will reach a highly targeted audience.
